{Workers at home}

You may recall about a year ago I had the opportunity to review some glasses. I had never ordered anything like that online and it was a really fun experience! You can upload your picture to the site and virtually try on the glasses! I ended up with a pair I probably would never have picked out on my own, but that I really like.

Today I am teaming up with that company, Firmoo, again and giving away a free pair of glasses of your choice! You can choose any of the glasses from this collection:

Please note you must actually “like” the Facebook pages to be entered. Giveaway ends on Thursday. Good luck!

Tomorrow is the launch date for my new food and hospitality blog, Counter Cultural! My husband and I have been working hard to get it ready and it is so close to being finished!

So unfortunately, there is no new titus2minutes post today. I am putting all my spare time into finishing this project up.

Friends, I am so excited and yet so nervous! This is a huge undertaking. But it is a dream of mine to write about food.

There are so many food blogs out there, so it is a challenge figuring out what my niche will be. What will make it different from other food blogs out there?

Come stop by tomorrow and find out why it will be different!

What are your favorite food blogs? Why do you like them?

What I Do For Real

Contrary to popular opinion, I am not a full-time blogger or event planner.

I don’t really write much about myself on here. I write a lot about my spiritual life, but not about my actual life. So I thought that I would give you a peek into a typical day.

Usually my day starts here – spending time with the Lord and then writing. (Granted it is not that light outside because I am a morning person and like to wake up very early.) I groggily drink a cup of coffee then once I am awake I will have my devotion time.

This is my favorite part of our house. I love the light that comes through these windows. I look out them while I pray and write.

At 6:30, I attempt to wake my husband up. He claims that before we were married he could pop right up out of bed with no problem. I tell him I am sorry for being so high maintenance and wearing you out!

Usually, I will make lunch and get something ready for dinner. After that, I get ready and leave for work.

This is the office where I work. I work for a property management company doing the marketing. It is totally by God’s grace that I am working this job. I have a degree in Home Economics, which is totally unrelated to marketing.

My job consists of taking pictures of and marketing the apartments that are available. I also manage our social media marketing, putting together video tours, writing on our blogs, and putting up signage for the apartments.

I spend close to 40 hours here at this desk. Behind you can see all the signs for our apartments.

During lunch, I either work on my blog  or run errands near my office.

On my commute to and from work, I like to listen to classical music or the news. This is probably an incredibly boring post?! If you ever thought my life was interesting, I am sorry for the disappointment!

Evenings are actually where my life gets a bit more exciting. After dinner, I either get to spend time with my husband or we have a quick turnaround for some social activity. A lot of our evenings are filled with youth group, Bible study, or meeting up with friends or family.

We have a full schedule and are learning how to balance our time and to prioritize. It is a constant conversation of how we can do better. I am thankful for an incredibly patient husband who wisely leads our family!

What does a typical day look like for you?

titus2review: Firmoo

I will have to admit. When Firmoo contacted me about reviewing their glasses, I was skeptical. I am pretty picky when it comes to clothes and accessories. So to pick out a pair of glasses without every trying them on? I thought there was no way that I would like them.

But hey, I am not one to turn down something free!

So, I thought, why not? This could be fun!

And it was fun! It was actually super fun! We had such an enjoyable time doing it, that my husband wanted to do it too.

You upload your picture to their website and you can virtually try on different pairs of glasses. It was extremely entertaining.

The glasses shipped very fast. They also came with a hard case, a soft case, a cleaning cloth, and a tiny screwdriver. You could tell that they had put thought into their packaging and into what they thought you would need.

And when I tried them on in person, I was surprised that I genuinely liked them! They were a bit larger than something that I would have picked out normally, but I was stilled pleased.

Firmoo’s prices are incredible! Their glasses range from $15-$40. Unheard of prices! You could buy multiple pairs of glasses at that price.

I would say that the downside is that they are made of plastic (like kids glasses are). I think that this makes them a bit harder to clean and not quite as high quality.

But overall, I was very impressed with the Firmoo. I would definitely order from them again. It definitely saves time to be able to order them online and it makes for good entertainment!

Below are the frames that I chose. In the picture collage above, these glasses are the ones in the bottom left-hand corner. What do you think?

Would you buy glasses online? Or does it make you too nervous?

titus2review: Influenster Box

New Hampshire          For more pictures of our trip, follow me on Instagram.

This past week I have been a bit MIA. My husband and I went to New Hampshire to visit his parents. We had a lot of fun catching up with them and touring New England.

But I am excited to be back in the blogging world! And with a new blog layout! I would love to hear your thoughts on the new layout! Bear with me as I tweak it a bit over the next couple of weeks.

One of the fun things about blogging has been starting to review products. I am part of a network called Influenster that sends you products to review. It is so fun to get to test out things that you might not have tried otherwise. I received Hawaiian Tropic’s After Sun Lotion, Sinful Colors nail polish, First Aid Shot, Covergirl Bombshell mascara, and a Jamba Juice smoothie coupon (that I lost when we were moving!)

Influenster Box Review

Hawaiian Tropic After Sun Lotion:

I used this just recently after going to the beach. It smelled really pleasant and was not sticky at all like some of the aloe vera gels. It wasn’t as cooling, but still felt refreshing. I wasn’t sunburned so I don’t know if it would work for a sunburn. But it was a nice product to use after a day in the sun.

Sinful Color’s Nail Polish:

The color I received was not my favorite. On my redheaded friend, the color was a beautiful mint color. But on my skin tone it just looked like a nasty shade of green. I was turned off mostly because of the color. I would be interested to try a different shade.

First Aid Shot:

I posted on my Instagram about this product. I had been up all night with horrible cramps. I had already tried taking the usual pain relief medication. But nothing was working. Finally, in the morning, I decide to take this. It tasted awful, awful, awful. But it really worked! I was amazed out how quick it kicked in and how much better I felt. It was worth the awful taste to feel so much better!

Covergirl Bombshell Mascara:

I never expected to really like a product that I got for free. I have tried hundreds of mascaras and never have found one that I really like. But I really love this one! It is not clumpy at all and it really does a good job of darkening and lengthening your eyelashes. At first, I was pretty annoyed that it was a two step process. But it is worth it for the results. I am very pleased with this mascara! Hopefully it comes in water proof though!
